What do you call your series of artwork?
– I call my series of artwork "Personal Belongings". By sculpting everyday objects in clay, we give attention to the intimacy of the daily routine and bring out their unique personalities.
What technique have you used?
– The objects are sculpted in porcelain clay, hand-painted with engobe and underglaze, and glazed with a transparent glaze.
What inspired you to create the artworks you have made for The Ode To?
– I find beauty in bathroom objects, as they are personal and important despite their perishability. Originally part of a larger project, I used them to symbolize self-reflection and vulnerability.
Can you tell us about your background and how you came to be an artist?
– I have always been creative, but ceramics became my language of expression. Clay allows me to create without inhibition and bring our ideas to life. With a background in ceramics from Nyckelviksskolan, Vårdinge Folkhögskola, and Konstfack, I am are now establishing our own ceramic studio in Stockholm.
How would you describe your art and aesthetics in three words?
– Playful, relatable, and sensitive.
